  1. Extend one arm on the side then measure starting the chest's center up to the desired length you like for the sleeve of your tunic. Add extra inches for the seams because it will be shorter when the position of your arm will change. This measurement is the sleeve length of the tunic.
  2. Cut a fabric twice the length of the sleeve length. Fold the fabric equally in lengthwise.
  3. Position the fabric with a fold on the top. Use a shirt which fits exactly to your head and make it as a guide and cut the neck hole where the middle of the fold is located.
  4. Try to put on pair of the sleeves with the head by its neck hole, and then measure the bottom of fabric to specific place you want the hem of the tunic to stay.
  5. Cut the two pieces fabric in this length. The entire width may not be used in the fabric, however these two pieces must have same size, and both of them should have generous amount in width than our body.
  6. Lay this piece of sleeve open out to the ground. Pin one from the new pieces with each edge. The width of the new piece should each center on a long edge the sleeve piece has. Sew the seams.
  7. Fold it in half, in an inside out style, so it can come up in a basic shape of a tunic. Pin its edges, starting its bottom to end of sleeves, and then sew the seams.
  8. Roll in any of the raw edges that you want. Example, the tunic's bottom, sleeves' cuffs, neck's hole. Stitch the rolls down. You can stitch it by hand or using a machine.
  9. Now, you can iron your tunic.
